Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data - email address and authentication credentials managed through Supabase Auth when you create an account.
• CV content - PDF files you upload, plain-text CV content you paste, structured CV documents you edit in the builder, and ATS analysis results derived from that content.
• Job data - job descriptions, application status, and match analyses you save in the job tracker.
• Billing data - purchase history and credit balance. Payment card details are collected and stored by Polar.sh, not by us.
• Usage data - standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and reliability.

How we use your data

• To run ATS checks and return scores, issue lists, and suggested fixes.
• To store your CVs, job applications, and analysis history in your account.
• To process credit purchases and Pass activations through Polar.
• To respond to support requests and protect the service from abuse.

We do not use your CV content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. Your documents are processed to deliver the analysis you requested and are not used for any other purpose.

Free checks without an account

You can upload a CV and receive a free teaser score (overall score, category breakdown, summary, and issue counts) without creating an account. That session data is stored locally in your browser and is not linked to an account unless you sign up.

Storage and security

Account and CV data are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL and object storage) with row-level security policies that restrict access to your own records. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our infrastructure providers. PDF files are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket scoped to your user ID.

Third-party processors

• Supabase - authentication, database, and file storage.
• Polar.sh - payment processing and customer billing portal. We never see or store your card number.
• AI providers - CV text is sent to our AI analysis service to generate content and keyword scores. Requests are not retained for model training.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete individual CVs and jobs from your account at any time. To delete your entire account - including all CVs, analyses, credits, and billing records we hold - go to Settings and use the account deletion option. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the email below and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

bigtech.cv is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
